Facebook has introduced a new product and has named it Flicks – a new unit of time. The new launch is precisely like seconds or minutes. It is defined in the programming language C++, and it is used to generate visual effects for film, television and other media.

The GitHub page has recognized Flicks as the smallest time unit which is larger than a nanosecond. Essentially, a flick is one seven hundred and five million six hundred thousandth of a second — 1/705,600,000, or 1.417233560090703e-9 if you prefer decimals.

The notion of launching flick is that it will help in evaluating individual frame duration for video frame rates. A user will now have this unique advantage of syncing while still using digits regardless whether the video is 24hz or 120hz.
