Plenty of HD images are available for downloading on Google. As a result, users could access and save them without the permission of the original photographers. However, there’s a good news for them as Google and Getty Images have proclaimed a formal multiyear global licensing association which will ship the copyrights of the photographers.

As per the contractual agreement, Google will alter the images in its search column to enhance and improvise the rights of the contributors. Subsequently, the copyright disclaimers will now be more prominent in a specific image. Moreover, it will also eradicate the view image links which formerly took the users to a different website.

Getty Images had already been lodging anti-competitive complaints against Google in the US and European Union for making high-resolution stock photos which are easily downloadable through Google Images.
