Read It, Watch It, or Tweet It – How Americans Read and Share News - infographic
Wondering, do Americans still read the news? Yes. A lot of them. According to a inkhouse's recent study: 6 out of 10 people watch or read, between 3 - 10 news stories every day. While the social media has not ruined out attention spans just yet, 84 percent of people read at least a few paragraphs if not entire article.
And despite Buzzfeed's massive audience, only 15 percent report reading it. With 73 percent of us turn to Television for news about current events, traditional media is still a preferred method.
The study also reveals that email edges out social media in terms of sharing news, while "Breaking news" is the top type of news we share.
In addition, the top reason Americans cite following or unfriending someone on Facebook, "they dislike too many updates about meaningless things" (such as what you ate for breakfast).
54 percent say they want to see more stuff like humor, jokers or commentary on Facebook.
This infographic takes a closer look at how do Americans actually consume their news.
